Tin mừng Chúa GiêSu KiTô theo Thánh Lu-Ca, chương 5, đoạn từ câu (1) đến câu (11).
Khi ấy, dân chúng chen nhau lại gần Chúa Giêsu để nghe lời Thiên Chúa, lúc đó Người đứng ở bờ hồ Ghênêsarét. Người trông thấy hai chiếc thuyền đậu gần bờ; những người đánh cá đã ra khỏi thuyền và họ đang giặt lưới. Người xuống một chiếc thuyền, thuyền đó của ông Simon, và Người xin ông đưa ra khỏi bờ một chút. Rồi Người ngồi trên thuyền, giảng dạy dân chúng.
Vừa giảng xong, Người bảo ông Simon rằng: "Hãy đẩy thuyền ra chỗ nước sâu và thả lưới bắt cá". Ông Simon thưa Người rằng: "Thưa Thầy, chúng con đã cực nhọc suốt đêm mà không được gì hết; nhưng vì lời Thầy, con sẽ thả lưới". Các ông đã thả lưới và bắt được rất nhiều cá; lưới các ông hầu như bị rách. Bấy giờ các ông làm hiệu cho các bạn đồng nghiệp ở thuyền bên cạnh đến giúp đỡ các ông. Những người này tới, họ đổ cá đầy hai chiếc thuyền, đến nỗi những thuyền chở nặng gần chìm.
Thấy thế, ông Simon sụp lạy dưới chân Chúa Giêsu và thưa Người rằng: "Lạy Chúa, xin Chúa hãy tránh xa con, vì con là người tội lỗi". Ông kinh ngạc và tất cả mọi người ở đó với ông cũng kinh ngạc trước mẻ cá mà các ông vừa mới bắt được; cả ông Giacôbê và Gioan, con ông Giêbêđê, bạn đồng nghiệp với ông Simon cũng thế. Nhưng Chúa Giêsu phán bảo ông Simon rằng: "Ðừng sợ hãi: từ đây con sẽ là kẻ chinh phục người ta". Bấy giờ các ông đưa thuyền vào bờ, và đã từ bỏ mọi sự mà đi theo Người.

LUKE 5,1-11.
1 Now it happened that he was standing one day by the Lake of Gennesaret, with the crowd pressing round him listening to the word of God,
2 when he caught sight of two boats at the water's edge. The fishermen had got out of them and were washing their nets.
3 He got into one of the boats -- it was Simon's -- and asked him to put out a little from the shore. Then he sat down and taught the crowds from the boat.
4 When he had finished speaking he said to Simon, 'Put out into deep water and pay out your nets for a catch.'
5 Simon replied, 'Master, we worked hard all night long and caught nothing, but if you say so, I will pay out the nets.'
6 And when they had done this they netted such a huge number of fish that their nets began to tear,
7 so they signalled to their companions in the other boat to come and help them; when these came, they filled both boats to sinking point.
8 When Simon Peter saw this he fell at the knees of Jesus saying, 'Leave me, Lord; I am a sinful man.'
9 For he and all his companions were completely awestruck at the catch they had made;
10 so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were Simon's partners. But Jesus said to Simon, 'Do not be afraid; from now on it is people you will be catching.'
11 Then, bringing their boats back to land they left everything and followed him.

LUC 5,1-11.
Luc 5, 1 Or il advint, comme la foule le serrait de près et écoutait la parole de Dieu, tandis que lui se tenait sur le bord du lac de Gennésaret,
Luc 5, 2 qu'il vit deux petites barques arrêtées sur le bord du lac; les pêcheurs en étaient descendus et lavaient leurs filets.
Luc 5, 3 Il monta dans l'une des barques, qui était à Simon, et pria celui-ci de s'éloigner un peu de la terre; puis, s'étant assis, de la barque il enseignait les foules.
Luc 5, 4 Quand il eut cessé de parler, il dit à Simon: "Avance en eau profonde, et lâchez vos filets pour la pêche."
Luc 5, 5 Simon répondit: "Maître, nous avons peiné toute une nuit sans rien prendre, mais sur ta parole je vais lâcher les filets."
Luc 5, 6 Et l'ayant fait, ils capturèrent une grande multitude de poissons, et leurs filets se rompaient.
Luc 5, 7 Ils firent signe alors à leurs associés qui étaient dans l'autre barque de venir à leur aide. Ils vinrent, et l'on remplit les deux barques, au point qu'elles enfonçaient.
Luc 5, 8 A cette vue, Simon-Pierre se jeta aux genoux de Jésus, en disant: "Eloigne-toi de moi, Seigneur, car je suis un homme pécheur!"
Luc 5, 9 La frayeur en effet l'avait envahi, lui et tous ceux qui étaient avec lui, à cause du coup de filet qu'ils venaient de faire;
Luc 5, 10 pareillement Jacques et Jean, fils de Zébédée, les compagnons de Simon. Mais Jésus dit à Simon: "Sois sans crainte; désormais ce sont des hommes que tu prendras."
Luc 5, 11 Et ramenant les barques à terre, laissant tout, ils le suivirent.
