ĐỨC GIÊ-SU CHỊU PHÉP CẮT BÌ.

Tin mừng Chúa Giê-Su theo thánh Lu-Ca, chương 2, đoạn từ câu (16) tới câu (21).

Khi các thiên sứ từ biệt mấy người chăn chiên để về trời, những người này bảo nhau: "Nào chúng ta sang Bêlem, để xem sự việc đã xảy ra, như Chúa đã tỏ cho ta biết". Họ liền hối hả ra đi. Ðến nơi, họ gặp bà Maria, ông Giuse, cùng với Hài Nhi đặt nằm trong máng cỏ. Thấy thế, họ liền kể lại điều đã được nói với họ về Hài Nhi này. Nghe các người chăn chiên thuật chuyện, ai cũng ngạc nhiên. Còn bà Maria thì hằng ghi nhớ mọi kỷ niệm ấy, và suy đi nghĩ lại trong lòng. Rồi các người chăn chiên ra về, vừa đi vừa tôn vinh ca tụng Thiên Chúa, vì mọi điều họ đã được mắt thấy tai nghe, đúng như đã được nói với họ.

Khi Hài Nhi được đủ tám ngày, nghĩa là đến lúc phải làm lễ cắt bì, người ta đặt tên cho Hài Nhi là Giêsu; đó là tên mà sứ thần đã đặt, trước khi Người được thụ thai trong lòng mẹ.

Luke 2,15-21.

Now it happened that when the angels had gone from them into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, 'Let us go to Bethlehem and see this event which the Lord has made known to us.' So they hurried away and found Mary and Joseph, and the baby lying in the manger. When they saw the child they repeated what they had been told about him, and everyone who heard it was astonished at what the shepherds said to them. As for Mary, she treasured all these things and pondered them in her heart. And the shepherds went back glorifying and praising God for all they had heard and seen, just as they had been told. 

When the eighth day came and the child was to be circumcised, they gave him the name Jesus, the name the angel had given him before his conception.

Luc 2,15-21.

Luc 2, 15 Et il advint, quand les anges les eurent quittés pour le ciel, que les bergers se dirent entre eux: "Allons jusqu'à Bethléem et voyons ce qui est arrivé et que le Seigneur nous a fait connaître."

Luc 2, 16 Ils vinrent donc en hâte et trouvèrent Marie, Joseph et le nouveau-né couché dans la crèche.

Luc 2, 17 Ayant vu, ils firent connaître ce qui leur avait été dit de cet enfant;

Luc 2, 18 et tous ceux qui les entendirent furent étonnés de ce que leur disaient les bergers.

Luc 2, 19 Quant à Marie, elle conservait avec soin toutes ces choses, les méditant en son coeur.

Luc 2, 20 Puis les bergers s'en retournèrent, glorifiant et louant Dieu pour tout ce qu'ils avaient entendu et vu, suivant ce qui leur avait été annoncé.

Luc 2, 21 Et lorsque furent accomplis les huit jours pour sa circoncision, il fut appelé du nom de Jésus, nom indiqué par l'ange avant sa conception.
