Thứ 7, ngày 28/12/2013 Lễ kính các Thánh Anh Hài
Tin mừng theo thánh Mat-Thêu, chương 2, đoạn từ câu (13) đến câu (18).

Khi các nhà chiêm tinh đã ra về, thì kìa sứ thần Chúa hiện ra báo mộng cho ông Giuse rằng: "Này ông, dậy đem Hài Nhi và mẹ Người trốn sang Aicập, và cứ ở đó cho đến khi tôi báo lại, vì vua Hêrôđê sắp tìm giết Hài Nhi đấy!". Ông Giuse liền chỗi dậy, và đang đêm, đưa Hài Nhi và mẹ Người trốn sang Ai-cập. Ông ở đó cho đến khi vua Hêrôđê băng hà, để ứng nghiệm lời Chúa phán xưa qua miệng ngôn sứ: "Ta đã gọi con Ta ra khỏi Ai-cập". Bấy giờ vua Hêrôđê thấy mình bị các nhà chiêm tinh đánh lừa, thì đùng đùng nổi giận, nên sai người đi giết tất cả các con trẻ ở Bêlem và toàn vùng lân cận, từ hai tuổi trở xuống, tính theo ngày tháng ông đã hỏi cặn kẽ các nhà chiêm tinh. Thế là ứng nghiệm lời ngôn sứ Giêrêmia: "Ở Rama, vẳng nghe tiếng khóc than rền rĩ: tiếng bà Ra-khen khóc thương con mình và không chịu để cho người ta an ủi, vì chúng không còn nữa."


Matthew - Chapter 2, 13-18.
After they had left, suddenly the angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream and said, 'Get up, take the child and his mother with you, and escape into Egypt, and stay there until I tell you, because Herod intends to search for the child and do away with him.' So Joseph got up and, taking the child and his mother with him, left that night for Egypt, where he stayed until Herod was dead. This was to fulfil what the Lord had spoken through the prophet: I called my son out of Egypt. Herod was furious on realising that he had been fooled by the wise men, and in Bethlehem and its surrounding district he had all the male children killed who were two years old or less, reckoning by the date he had been careful to ask the wise men. Then were fulfilled the words spoken through the prophet Jeremiah: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamenting and weeping bitterly: it is Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted because they are no more.


Matthieu 2, 13 Après leur départ, voici que l'Ange du Seigneur apparaît en songe à Joseph et lui dit: "Lève-toi, prends avec toi l'enfant et sa mère, et fuis en Egypte; et restes-y jusqu'à ce que je te dise. Car Hérode va rechercher l'enfant pour le faire périr."
Matthieu 2, 14 Il se leva, prit avec lui l'enfant et sa mère, de nuit, et se retira en Egypte;
Matthieu 2, 15 et il resta là jusqu'à la mort d'Hérode; pour que s'accomplît cet oracle prophétique du Seigneur: D'Egypte j'ai appelé mon fils.
Matthieu 2, 16 Alors Hérode, voyant qu'il avait été joué par les mages, fut pris d'une violente fureur et envoya mettre à mort, dans Bethléem et tout son territoire, tous les enfants de moins de deux ans, d'après le temps qu'il s'était fait préciser par les mages.
Matthieu 2, 17 Alors s'accomplit l'oracle du prophète Jérémie:
Matthieu 2, 18 Une voix dans Rama s'est fait entendre, pleur et longue plainte: c'est Rachel pleurant ses enfants; et ne veut pas qu'on la console, car ils ne sont plus.
