Luke 13, 10-17

Tin mừng theo thánh Lu-Ca, chương 13, đoạn từ câu (10) tới câu (17).

⁽¹⁰⁾Ngày sabát kia, Ðức Giêsu giảng dạy trong hội đường. ⁽¹¹⁾Ở đó, có một phụ nữ bị quỷ làm cho tàn tật đã mười tám năm. Lưng bà còng hẳn xuống và bà không thể nào đứng thẳng lên được. ⁽¹²⁾Trông thấy bà, Ðức Giêsu gọi lại và bảo: "Này bà, bà đã được giải thoát khỏi tật nguyền!" ⁽¹³⁾Rồi Người đặt tay trên bà, tức khắc bà đứng thẳng lên được và tôn vinh Thiên Chúa.

⁽¹⁴⁾Ông trưởng hội đường tức tối vì Ðức Giêsu đã chữa bệnh vào ngày sabát. Ông lên tiếng nói với đám đông rằng: "Ðã có sáu ngày phải làm việc, thì đến mà xin chữa bệnh những ngày đó, đừng có đến vào ngày sabát!" ⁽¹⁵⁾Chúa đáp: "Những kẻ đạo đức giả kia ! Thế ngày sabát, ai trong các người lại không cởi dây, dắt bò lừa rời máng cỏ đi uống nước? ⁽¹⁶⁾Còn bà này là con cháu ông Ápraham, bị Xatan trói buộc đã mười tám năm nay, thì chẳng lẽ lại không được cởi xiềng xích đó trong ngày sabát sao?" ⁽¹⁷⁾Nghe Người nói thế, tất cả những kẻ chống đối Người lấy làm xấu hổ, còn toàn thể đám đông thì vui mừng vì mọi việc hiển hách Người đã thực hiện.

10 One Sabbath day he was teaching in one of the synagogues,
11 and there before him was a woman who for eighteen years had been possessed by a spirit that crippled her; she was bent double and quite unable to stand upright.
12 When Jesus saw her he called her over and said, 'Woman, you are freed from your disability,'
13 and he laid his hands on her. And at once she straightened up, and she glorified God.
14 But the president of the synagogue was indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, and he addressed all those present saying, 'There are six days when work is to be done. Come and be healed on one of those days and not on the Sabbath.'
15 But the Lord answered him and said, 'Hypocrites! Is there one of you who does not untie his ox or his donkey from the manger on the Sabbath and take it out for watering?
16 And this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan has held bound these eighteen years -- was it notright to untie this bond on the Sabbath day?'
17 When he said this, all his adversaries were covered with confusion, and all the people were overjoyed at all the wonders he worked.

Luc 13, 10 Or il enseignait dans une synagogue le jour du sabbat.

Luc 13, 11 Et voici qu'il y avait là une femme ayant depuis dix-huit ans un esprit qui la rendait infirme; elle était toute courbée et ne pouvait absolument pas se redresser.

Luc 13, 12 La voyant, Jésus l'interpella et lui dit: "Femme, te voilà délivrée de ton infirmité";

Luc 13, 13 puis il lui imposa les mains. Et, à l'instant même, elle se redressa, et elle glorifiait Dieu.

Luc 13, 14 Mais le chef de la synagogue, indigné de ce que Jésus eût fait une guérison le sabbat, prit la parole et dit à la foule: "Il y a six jours pendant lesquels on doit travailler; venez donc ces jours-là vous faire guérir, et non le jour du sabbat!"

Luc 13, 15 Mais le Seigneur lui répondit: "Hypocrites! chacun de vous, le sabbat, ne délie-t-il pas de la crèche son boeuf ou son âne pour le mener boire?

Luc 13, 16 Et cette fille d'Abraham, que Satan a liée voici dix-huit ans, il n'eût pas fallu la délier de ce lien le jour du sabbat!"

Luc 13, 17 Comme il disait cela, tous ses adversaires étaient remplis de confusion, tandis que toute la foule était dans la joie de toutes les choses magnifiques qui arrivaient par lui.
