"HÃY BỐ THÍ, THÌ MỌI SỰ SẼ TRỞ NÊN TRONG SẠCH"

Tin mừng theo thánh Lu-Ca, chương 11, đoạn từ câu (37) đến câu (41).

Ðức Giêsu đang nói, thì có một ông Pharisêu mời Người đến nhà dùng bữa. Tới nơi, Người liền vào bàn ăn. Thấy vậy, ông Pharisêu lấy làm lạ vì trước tiên Người không rửa tay trước bữa ăn. Nhưng Chúa nói với ông ấy rằng: "Thật, nhóm Pharisêu các người, bên ngoài chén đĩa, thì các người rửa sạch, nhưng bên trong các người thì đầy những chuyện cướp bóc, gian tà. Ðồ ngốc! Ðấng làm ra cái bên ngoài lại đã không làm ra cái bên trong sao? Tốt hơn, hãy bố thí những gì ở bên trong, thì bấy giờ mọi sự sẽ trở nên trong sạch cho các người..."

Luke 11, 39-41.

Jesus had just finished speaking when a Pharisee invited him to dine at his house. He went in and sat down at table. The Pharisee saw this and was surprised that he had not first washed before the meal. But the Lord said to him, 'You Pharisees! You clean the outside of cup and plate, while inside yourselves you are filled with extortion and wickedness. Fools! Did not he who made the outside make the inside too? Instead, give alms from what you have and, look, everything will be clean for you...

Luc 11, 39-41.

Tandis Jésus parlait, un Pharisien l'invite à déjeuner chez lui. Il entra et se mit à table. Ce que voyant, le Pharisien s'étonna de ce qu'il n'eût pas fait d'abord les ablutions avant le déjeuner. Mais le Seigneur lui dit: "Vous voilà bien, vous, les Pharisiens! L'extérieur de la coupe et du plat, vous le purifiez, alors que votre intérieur à vous est plein de rapine et de méchanceté! Insensés! Celui qui a fait l'extérieur n'a-t-il pas fait aussi l'intérieur? Donnez plutôt en aumône ce que vous avez, et alors tout sera pur pour vous.
